The third in the Microsoft Baseball series, Baseball 2001 is noted for its straightforward controls. The game has standard features like the ability to play a single game or an entire season, as well as the ability to start in the playoffs. There's a Home Run Derby mode, and a Tonight's Game feature that lets you play any game from the 2000 MLB season. Only the All-Star Game can be played in the trial version, and the game is limited to three innings, but will go to an extra inning if tied after three.
