Eradicator is an unusual 3D shooter in that you can switch between first- and third-person perspective. Beyond the dual perspectives, it has many similarities to Doom, Duke Nukem 3D and Star Wars: Dark Forces. Taking control of one of the three distinct characters, the player must infiltrate an alien stronghold on the planet Ioxia and disable it from the inside in order to restore production of a rare substance known as Mazrium. The Ioxian Citadel is guarded by many traps, energy barriers and biomechanical sentries, and often more than just raw firepower is required to bypass these obstacles. The demo version includes 2 playable characters, over 10 different weapons, 3 regular levels from the first chapter of the game (plus a hidden bonus level), and a multiplayer map. The CD demo additionally has music and preview cinematics. The registered version includes 3 characters, over 20 weapons, over 25 levels, 8-player IPX support, and a level editor.
