I hated it in '93 mainly due to its outdated sound and graphics (EGA and PC speaker?!!), but now it's finally grown on me. As a game as far as being a game goes (and the game part of a game really matters), it's HIGHLY FRICKIN UNDERRATED!

and that's Spock on the title screen!

I like it, too. It's basically a vertical version of R-Type.

As for being EGA in the VGA era, the same can be said for Bio Menace, which I also feel is underrated.
Today entirely the maniac there is no excuse with the article.

Biomenace was a bit of a solo work amazement. Overkill was a team of 4 iirc. I know Anthony Williams worked on its music too, he also did Lemmings' DOS soundtracks (you'll realize the strong similarity of lemmings and overkill's music)

Whenever I run the game it always plays music in MIDI format. How do I get it to play in Adlib format?

Any ideas?

I assume DOSbox, so change your MPU401 to none instead of intelligent
