Greetings! Offering a helping hand

Post by Aldap »

Hello all!
I'm happy to have found this site and forums now.
What a fantastic place! Congratulations to everyone involved.

Just wanted to say I have some games that I'm going through old CDs that I burned back in the days.
I have a myabadonware(.com) contributor account and I simply add games that are abandonware and are not publicly available yet. Added quite a few already. But I didn't know about this site until now. I was actually looking for a place to upload the entirety of an old MicroProse FTP that I downloaded in the IRC days, and I found a thread here about that exactly, and that's how I found this place exists.

Also I used to collect registered versions of shareware games back in the early 2000s, and I'm trying to figure out which ones (of the 400 or so) are abandonware. You can see my list and thoughts about the games here.

A few days ago I found about 500 cracks for old DOS games, that I downloaded from BBSs. Also need to figure out how to sort them. Here are some of their NFO files (only 70ish out of the 500).

I have many more CDs to go through, I know I have some old game developer tools and other goodies waiting to sort. Probably a whole bunch of old DOS games as well. I need to look through all the forum posts that you have created throughout the years, and see how I can help.

Cheers!

Hello, and welcome to the forums! Apologies for the belated reply, it's pretty quiet here.

Please note that this site is not, and will never be uploading, hosting or discussing any "abandonware" software, i.e. that which is being distributed in full form without an appropriate license and/or in violation of the EULA.

If you are willing to discuss legally free software/games, plus any non-registered shareware or demos, feel free to do so.
