I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the collapse of Apogee Software yet. For those who don't know, Apogee/3D Realms has ceased operations as of 8 May 2009. It's still possible to order games by download through their online store, but the store will reportedly be closed on Wednesday, 13 May, so this is your last chance to order full-version software from Apogee.
It is no longer possible to order physical materials from the store, such as games on disk/CD-ROM and guides and mouse pads, etc., though I have asked both of the owners and the fellow in charge of the store to consider a going-out-of-business sale to clear out their remaining inventory. Don't hold your breath that my appeal will be successful.

Hmm, too bad. But then, one might argue that this company has been dead for a long time already. I've been expecting something like this for a while now.
R.I.P. Apogee Software Productions / Pinball Wizards / 3D Realms (1987-2009).

The online store has been reopened! The games have been updated with new installers and a DOSBox wrapper. Downloads only, no physical products.
The pricing seems a lot more reasonable than it was before.

Everything is $5.99 except for Shadow Warrior for some reason. Not that it isn't worth $10, but it seems odd.

^ Don't forget Balls of Steel, which is also 10$. But whatever, at least it's available again.
