DOSBox v0.65 has been in the Utilities section since it was released. DOSBox is so good that I used to automatically play every game in DOSBox without even checking to see if the game worked in Windows XP. There are still a few games that work better in Windows than they do in DOSBox, which inspired me to create the DOS Games Compatibility Wiki to create a comprehensive database of how to play DOS games on any modern computer.
Today entirely the maniac there is no excuse with the article.

Yes, one of the nice features of v0.72 is the "max" cycle setting which kicks in by default in most games that need extra power. No more setting the cycle count to 20000 in Pentium-class games.

You won't believe how much less "Dosbox is too slow" complaints have been reduced since that feature was added. :P

yes, that was a nice side effect.

although it is unfortunate the more complex speed controls that dosbox offers aren't used that often.

Thank you guys so much for your work on DOSBox. I'm still impressed that I was finally able to run Mah Jongg -8514- on a modern computer. Mark Balewski didn't think I'd be able to do it.
