The sequel to Prince of Persia, Prince of Persia 2 is a fluid animation platform game. Taking place 11 days after the original, the evil Jaffar has cast a spell that makes himself appear to be the Prince, and the Prince appears to be a beggar. The hero must run for his life and attempt to return to Persia to win back his bride. The hero can walk, run, crouch, jump, grab onto ledges, and fight with a sword. Both the hero and the guards have hit points, and there are potions in the palace that can harm or hurt the hero. There are far more guards to fight in Prince 2, but they tend to be easier to fight, starting off with a single hit point at the beginning of the game. The graphics are significantly improved over the original, and there are new cutscenes with voice. There are 16 levels in this game, with only the first level playable in the shareware version.
