When I was a kid my mom got us a Windows 95 computer and it came with a compilation CD of a boatload of games. There's one I can't remember the name of but here's my best description of it.
Its a 2D vertical space shooter where your ship moves REALLY REALLY FAST. When you get a game over you hear the "that's it man, game over man, GAME OVER" from the movie Aliens as you type in your name to save the score.
It came on the same compilation CD as Chomp, Football, YatC, and Prarie Dog Hunt. Anybody who can help me find the name of this game, or at least the CD it comes from I'll be so happy.

I'm certain I do not know the game you're talking about, but you could try the following:
- check the list of shooters at MobyGames
- ask people around at dosgames.com forums (guest posting allowed)
- plough through this list (and also this one in case it was a Windows game) - shooters aren't in a separate category so it may take a while, but there are thumbnail screenshots so maybe you'll see something familiar

I know what this is.
it's Quatra Command for Windows which has no speed throttling and abuses the the Bill Paxton Aliens sound byte (he was a meme at one point)
I even saw this game in a retail box once as late as 1996.

I'm sorry I didn't see this post sooner (it's been a busy week), but leilei is right. It's Quatra Command, and if you think it ran fast on Pentium, you should see how fast it runs on a modern PC.
Today entirely the maniac there is no excuse with the article.

Beachware has all the games you mentioned, except football.
