Great shooter that comes close in terms of quality to the brilliant Tyrian (but not close enough). One of the most popular shareware titles ever that everyone was playing.

I got bored of RAPTOR even around when it was first released before seeing Tyrian. It didn't really blow me away, and I apparently first played it during the day of the apogee theme easter egg (April 24 1994) and I wasn't even aware of that being an easter egg. lol

There's a fanmade modern Windows port based on reverse-engineering of the original game:

You can also purchase an official port by Scott Host, Raptor: Call of The Shadows - 2015 Edition, from Steam.
