Um, is this person overly enthusiastic or some kind of 'intelligent' spam bot that is flooding Win9x part of the forum viewforum.php?f=16

I'll go with 95% he's a spambot, because "save the princess" is not a thing in Diablo. But for a spambot he's kinda cute

EDIT: On the other hand he may be a little bit naive (and human) and uses a bad translation program.

He doesn't have any links in either profile or signature. Of course, there is still the possibility that it's a type of spambot that first makes some innocuous posts to get under the radar and after a while edits its profile to add links to the signature and/or profile page. But until then, he has the benefit of the doubt.

Also, a typical spambot usually copies parts of other users' messages (sometimes garbled via recursive translation) to make an impression of a relevant post on subject, or posts some vague messages like "Thank you for the very informative post."/"I'm happy to be on this forum." etc. None of this is the case here. The posts appear to be made by a person whose native language is not English. All messages have very similar structure, but most seem to be more or less on topic and describe the games they are about. There are some factual mistakes here and there, but they can be ascribed to human error just as well.


If it is still a spambot I'd suppose it's quite and advanced one, capable of contextual meta-analysis.

I've wondered about him/her/it myself, but the posts seem harmless so far. It could just be a language barrier issue.
