It ain't hard. Worldtree games. Freewebs. Tyrian 2000. Search with those keywords.

p.s. Wintrek became freeware around 2003, which obviously isn't 'now'.

If it's obvious that it was freeware in 2003, then why does classicdosgames.com still list it as "shareware (full version)", and not "freeware"?

Because that is a completely different Wintrek.

Yeah, turns out a lot of people made clones of the old "Star Trek" mini computer game for Windows and called it WinTrek. I've found at least three different games called WinTrek. When leilei requested WinTrek earlier in the thread, I found the one by TSoft and posted it. That's not the Joe Jaworski version.

This is not technically a DOS game, but would be worth adding to the site:

It is a DOS game, just not the free one :)

Also I doubt there is a shareware version to add or at least I don't remember any.

I'm not sure if it fits everyone's definition of "classic", but I have fond memories of playing Cyril Cyberpunk. [Added to the site] Unfortunately, other than one pirated copy, I haven't been able to find any place to download it, and the company that published it went out of business soon afterward.

Going bankrupt doesn't transfer their copyrights to the public domain. There doesn't appear to have been a shareware version of Cyril Cyberpunk.

There's a shareware one on the July 1996 SOMC (Software of the Month Club) CD under the name "Cyberkid." My disc is badly damaged, though; so far I've been unable to retrieve a working copy.

A search for a shareware version of Cyril Cyberpunk came up empty, but when I found out that the game was originally going to be called Cyberboard Kid, I was able to find a copy right away.

So, what the heck is Pyro ][?

No commercial games, that one never had a demo, don't think Star Control 2 did either

Star Control 3 definitely has a melee demo, i remember in anticipation waiting for it to come out since '95!

I think they meant Pyro 2. Pyro ][ is a fairly recent Flash game.
