Re: Oil Baron

I really enjoyed the OilBaron game, and wanted to share this news with the community:
There is an online version based on the same ideas available at http://www.apebroker.com/ for those that enjoyed Oil Baron as much as I did.

The main differences between OilBaron and ApeBroker are that ApeBroker is a multiplayer online game, has many custom-tunable parameters (such as the size of the playfield), and since it is multiplayer online, it is impractical to be strictly turn-based. Instead it is time-based, where each player has a certain number of turns each day, where a minimum time interval must pass between each turn.
ApeBroker was made by a true fanboy who even kept the same formulas, as in Oil Baron, for calculating the share and dividend values depending on the company size.

Check it out today. It may be a bit slow to begin with, due to its multiplayer online nature, but once the ball has started rolling, it's quite easy to be hooked. It's also perfect for playing at work... (encrypted HTTPS, no sound, no flash, very discrete) ;)
