At some point it may be useful for running classic games. I sure hope it will.

- Direct-X and OpenGL: Comes along nicely, but currently sound is usually not working. Mouse is also problematic.

- DOS emulation: The ReactOS NTVDM system aims for DOS games compatibility. This should eventually make it very convenient to run DOS games from the command prompt. Many VGA games work well, like Warcraft. Unfortunately it has no Sound Blaster emulation yet, and hires VESA graphics support is also unfinished. Alternatively one can just run DOSbox in ReactOS.

An article about their NTVDM system, from December 2015:

I followed the NTVDM development with great interest. Yes, you can always use DOSBox, but it's especially convenient to be able to just double click on the EXE and have it run. I haven't been able to do that since Windows XP.
Today entirely the maniac there is no excuse with the article.

Combining WinRAR with DOSBox 0.74 and using the conf file option will allow that for all your DOS games in Windows. The only problem is some 64bit Windows like Windows 10 limits that to pure 64bit softwares. So maybe 64bit DOSBox?
