- Nitemare 3D is a 3D Shooter, not Adventure
- Nitemare does ABSOLUTELY NOT use the Wolfenstein 3D engine

Good catch on the genre. I missed that when I got busy with an email from an author who wrote to give me permission to distribute his games as freeware. More on that later.

As for the Wolf3D engine, I got that information from Wikipedia.
Wikipedia wrote:N3D was not a commercial success, in part due to its use of the Wolfenstein 3D engine the year after the more advanced Doom had been released.
If it's wrong, I'll edit the article. I'm sending an email to David Gray for clarification.

Confirmed. David Gray says that he did not license the Wolf3D engine for this game. I've removed that statement from the Wikipedia article. Thank you for pointing that out, leilei.

I would put ten, but I found that it lagged, and the movement was too fast. I found myself clinging to the left shift key for dear life. Made aiming hard...

Believe it or not, this is yet another game that can be fixed by DOSBox. I run a copy of Windows 3.1 in DOSBox and this game plays perfectly in it.
