I found a string "WORX TOOLKIT VERSION 2.1" when I was looking at kernel.exe from the MS-DOS demo Total Carnage in a hex editor program.
I could not find that string in the full game exe, but I suspect the toolkit was used, because the same ibk file is used.

Re: Worx Toolkit
A number of games used this, mostly for sound and music. Some Epic games (like Kiloblaster, Jill of the Jungle, and Xargon) used it.
I had an e-mail from the author of the library a few years ago. I asked him how he managed to get his CMF player to so accurately play songs compared to Creative Labs' official player, and he said he didn't try especially hard, he must've just coded things in a similar way to how they did it. I asked him whether he still had the source code for it, but he unfortunately lost track of it long ago.
