Looking for a game that is a header on this website

Post by jahemian »

I THINK! It was a game where you run around as a little man, and you mine the ground. You had pick axe, and I think you have of collected gold when you dug into the earth. It was a pretty basic game. I may be getting two games mixed up here, but I'm pretty sure you had to climb ladders too in order to go up or down, if you jumped I think you died. Here is a screen shot of what it MAY be:

Any help would be great thanks. ::)

Also, is the game where you travel around in like a hover craft and capture flags around? I actually think it was called Hover Craft, I'll searchit now.

The picture you posted is Arctic Adventure. The game you described sounds like Prospector.

For "Hover Craft", the best I could find is a game by Carr Software that was later renamed Islands of Danger, and then Rescue!.
Today entirely the maniac there is no excuse with the article.

Another game where you collect gold, dig holes and use ladders is Lode Runner.

Thanks, the Load runner looks like the game I was after. Looking for a download now. The Hover game I was after was Microsoft Hovercraft or something. I downloaded it last week. Thanks.:)

I did find information about Hover!, but I didn't think that was the game for some reason. Maybe I disqualified it because it was a Windows game.

I remember Hover! was included on the Windows 95 CD, I'm not sure if it was the full version or a demo though (I guess it was a demo). The same CD had a demo of Hellbender :)

Yep, it was on the Windows 95 CD. For example that's the German version of the game from one of my Win95 CDs:

It's a full game, and can be found on Microsoft's own FTP still.

Ohh, nice! I didn't know it has translated versions :)

Hmm, somehow I have a vague memory of some features being disabled, but maybe that's just because I expected it to be a demo, not a full version. However, I've just checked out the screenshots at MobyGames and I definitely remember playing in both the outdoor Doom-style arena and the sewers arena as well.

I've tried locating the game at Microsoft's FTP but without much success thus far.
