Compilation CDs

According to the documentation, this is one of several CDs in Global Star Software's "25 Great Games" series. A simple installation menu allows games to be selected for installation, while providing no information about the games. There is no option to play the games off of the CD; games must be installed to the hard drive. This CD includes 25 shareware games:

Availability

ASSG uses an unregistered copy of QuikMenu v1.07c (with permission) for the menu system. With the exception of Blake Stone, all of the games can be played from the menu without installation, though it will be impossible to save progress or high scores. QuikMenu has a built-in screen saver. ASSG includes 11 shareware games:

Even More Combat Games uses a custom Win16 menu to provide access to its library of DOS and Win16 games. Some games can be run directly from the CD, while others must be installed to the hard drive. EMCG includes 15 shareware or freeware games:

Availability

Despite variations on "40 Best VGA Games" featuring prominently on the jewel case and CD, there are a number of EGA games in this collection. Games must be installed to a hard drive, but there is an easy uninstall option. This CD can only be imaged as a BIN/CUE pair, rather than an ISO image, because it has multiple tracks. Video Arcade Classic used the Show&Go CD Navigator to allow games to be played off of the CD or installed to the hard drive. Several of the games are clones of other popular games such as Tetris, Columns, Dr. Mario, Klax, and Tempest, and others are based on Breakout or Boulder Dash using different levels, there are a few original games on this CD.
